Originally written January 4, 2019. I'm not going to lie, 2018 was a rough year (Yes, part of me wants to be that girl that says "but I met such a sweet guy so it all works out!" and yes, that's true that I met a really great guy, but who am I kidding, the rest of it was pretty rocky).
Between work and attempting to go back to school (ha!) and the crapstorm that is everyday life, I've realized I've been forgetting one little but monumental thing - celebrating.

Andrew and I are celebrating our anniversary tomorrow. And while we're not setting off to Paris or having brunch in San Francisco, (first, because it's only our four month anniversary, and second, Andrew, hint hint ;) ) I know it's still going to be special cause it's us.

Somehow in the hustle and bustle of life, I think we've all forgotten, at least a little bit, how to be present. I know I might be the person who's most guilty of that on the whole planet. So I pledge to get off my phone (except for pictures!) and be present - and not spend all my money at the mall!
