Target Clearance Mini Haul

Anyone who know me, knows I'm a Target addict. Andrew complains when we go there everyday for three or four days in a row, but he should just be glad I didn't drag him there every time when I went there three times in one day (I kept getting home and remembering something I forgot for a party we were going to, I don't just drive there for fun, though Andrew probably thinks I do).

Target somehow has this magical power of making you buy 4 time more items than you originally go in for. Like today, I went in for a sandwich and Starbucks. Did I get just a sandwich and Starbucks? Absolutely not. I got distracted by the jewelry section and didn't even make it to get my intended food.

After going through the clothes, jewelry, makeup, hair products, grocery, and books, I finally caved in and picked up a basket. Yeah, I had accumulated that much stuff. To be fair, many of the things I picked up were necessities - a bottle of kombucha instead of Starbucks (you're welcome gut), a Lean Cuisine meal instead of a sandwich (have you seen the price of Starbucks' sandwiches? You're welcome wallet!), a bottle of wine (you're welcome future me). But once I stepped in that makeup section, it was on.

Public Service Announcement: TARGET HAS MAKEUP ON CLEARANCE

I could have ran around the store screaming that, but I called my mom to tell her the good news instead. Almost every brand had something on sale and perused every aisle, every section, almost every product to my heart's content.

I recently got hooked on the Soap & Glory line of bath products so when I saw those glorious yellow clearance stickers on not one, not two, but almost a quarter of their products, I swear my heart stopped. Time to save!

The first thing I grabbed was The Perfect Ten eye shadow palette. I hadn't tried any of Soap and Glory's makeup line, but when I saw that this palette was limited edition and only $5.38 (on sale from $17.99), it had to be mine.

I has ten gorgeous shades and enough sass on the instruction label to be worth $5 alone.

"Shadows are intended for use over and under your eyes, rather than in them. Should this fact escape your applicator, rinse eyes long and hard with cool water until you've got the 'all clear'"

Next up, Soap and Glory's Smoothie Star Body Spray. Honestly, I looked it up on S&G's website since the bottle didn't have much information on the label. The website lists this as "a mouthwatering spray with sweet almond and rich vanilla notes" and it's all that and more. I needed a great smelling Vanilla fragrance and I'm glad I held out for this one. Plus, on clearance at $3.48 (normally $4.99, which is totally worth it too), it was a steal.

Spritz and go!

Most shopping hacks include the fact that stores put their best deals on the bottom shelf and though that might not necessarily be true in big box stores' makeup sections, it was absolutely true in this case. One of my favorite products is a really great moisturizer called The Righteous Butter (I love their puns!) and it was included in the Happy Pamper gift pack on clearance for $3.50, paired with the corresponding pink rose and bergamot scented Clean on Me shower gel. So Good!

I've been dying to try S&G's Sugar Crush line and it just so happened that the gift pack was on clearance too! This 'Irresistibubble' set included a body wash and body buttercream in Smashed Brown Sugar and Sweet Lime scent. Can't wait to give this set a shot! It's normally $7.00, just like the Happy Pamper set, but at $3.50, I'll take these travel sized products any chance I get.

As a twentysomething, and pretty much basic, white girl, I'm almost ashamed to admit I've never tried a sheet mask. I saw this oatmeal mask on clearance for $.90 (originally $3.00) and figured it was time to give it a go. It claims to nourish and repair while reducing redness and inflammation. Though I don't have problems with redness, who doesn't love a nourishing oatmeal treatment?

And last but not least, a No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream. I might actually be the most excited about this product, since I could always use some help with my skin's hydration (who drinks enough water for it to happen naturally??) I've never felt the need to spend more than $10 on night cream thanks to TJ Maxx's body products section, so I've never used anything by No7, though I've heard they have great products. On opening, it has a light, floral scent as well as a light, non-greasy texture. They say women should start using night cream in their 20's, so we'll see if this might be my new go to! On clearance for $7.48 from $14.99 for 1.6Fl.Oz.

I know this might be surprising, but I don't normally drop a ton of money on makeup at Target. I actually don't even by much makeup at Target (just most of everything else in my life. Andrew just got a Red Card and I want to take most the credit for that decision- save that 5% babe!) but when it's this much on sale, I just seem to auto-pilot towards good deals!

This haul would normally ring in at just under $60 before tax for 6 products, including two gift sets. Thanks to pre-tax time inventory clearance, I paid $24.24 before tax for all this! That's a savings of almost $31.00!

I suggest you get to Target ASAP before these great clearance deals are gone. They can be found in almost every brand in makeup, tools, and nails. I'll just be over here getting over the top moisturized, smelling great, and lathering up with my clearance steals!
